Organizational Structure

The Myanmar Government has supported the creation of an organization for the promotion of nation-wide maternal and child welfare activities at central, township and ward/village levels. The MMCWA was thus established in April 1991. The MMCWA is at present functioning with 324 township associations, and 11,233 branch associations formed to undertake health and welfare activities nation-wide. The MMCWA now has over 2,000,000 volunteers serving the community through out Myanmar.
