About

The Mother and Children Welfare Association, is a voluntary, humanitarian, organization dedicated to serve the country in promoting the health and well-being of mothers and children, with the aim to improve the quality of the life of the people.

This welfare puts effort on its objectives as follows:

  • To disseminate health information and education through information, education and communication (IEC) programs nation-wide.
  • To provide scholarships to enable school going age children to attend schools.
  • To plan, implement and evaluate income generation programs including credit and loan schemes for poor women.

Mother and children are the very basis of human society and they represent a large portion of the State’s population. Therefore, in order to carry out the noble national tasks of maternal and child care service throughout the nation, this organization was formed.

All the members of the association are to strive for the development of education, health, economic and social affairs of mothers and children from rural areas.

Moreover, the organization created future plans and activities aiming to continually pursue its mission for all mother and children.

  1. To expand information, education and communication by innovative programs.
  2. To increase the number of Maternity Homes and Clinics in rural areas, in order to provide MCH care to the most vulnerable groups.
  3. To expand programs related to growth monitoring, nutrition education and supplementation.
